Particularly in the field of Theology, numerous individuals are recognized for essential things. One people who leave great impression is Bishop Charles Harrison Mason. He was a founder of the Bishop of Church of God which is now known as one of the largest Pentecostal church. Even though he did not receive formal education, his parents were the people who influenced his religion and beliefs. Born in the place called Tennessee, Mason had a lot of obstacles. At aged fifteen, he become a member of a particular Missionary and then received a baptism. Even though Charles was against the idea of pursuing ministry since all he wanted was to be a clergyman, he still achieved such thing.

On 1880, an epidemic spread through his hometown and greatly affect many people including Jerry, his father. Since the hospitals and treatment centers during that period were in low maintenance and condition, Jerry died from the ailment forcing the other members to go to the Arkansas. Even if Charles contracted the illness, he was miraculously cured due to dedicated prayers that were offered by his siblings and mother.

Throughout the whole journey, he experienced many things which enable him to encounter conversion. Because he was tremendously motivated by Amanda Berry Smith who is a well known African Methodist, he claimed that he received sanctification and begin preaching in several local churches. Alongside other prominent individuals whom he made connections with, they spread doctrines in their local regions and places.

He had gone through many local and overseas journeys which allow him to preach. Mason was not just exclusive on a particular church, but instead he tried numerous places to hone his experience. Apart from communities, he even went to some Colleges. It was on 1926 that he decided to organize a specific institution which emphasized the laws and rules of church.

He also experienced a married and happy life. Around 1890, he married one of his mothers closest friends daughter named Alice Saxton. But after two years, they got divorced because Saxton were unsatisfied with the life he had chosen. Even though he decided not to remarry, he had another wife whom he met one year after Saxton died. Eventually, the second wife died, and then he also married his last wife.

By his demise around the year 1861, the group he developed began to be popular in numerous places. The members and also the churches grow in number over time. In early 2000s, the group he made is now recognized as one of the biggest one.

There are so many groups who was named under him. Just like with the rest, the organizations received a lot of recognition and awards from various bodies. With that said, many people show interest.
